Show Alert: The National to Rock and Premiere Doc in LA

The National

You couldn’t mistake the National for strangers to Los Angeles in 2013.  After releasing the deceptively strong fifth album Trouble Will Find Me, they played dates at the Greek, Hollywood Forever Cemetery and, for those of the cheaper persuasion (me), Jimmy Kimmel Live! (and that’s not even counting the rooftop set they played for an Alt 98.7 shindig).  But next week, the love is going to keep pouring in from Brooklyn’s favorite set of really-sad-about-being-sorta-sad lads!

On March 25, the National will swing by the Shrine Auditorium for a special evening that will include a showing of Mistaken For Strangers, an eighty-minute documentary directed by lead singer Matt Berninger’s brother Tom, that follows the band while on tour.  This will be the U.S. theatrical premiere of the pic, and will be followed up by a full concert set by the National.

Tickets for the Tuesday night show are still available, and will cost you $55.60 after Ticketmaster and its fees have their way with you.
