It’s hard to believe that George Evelyn has been recording music under the stage name Nightmares On Wax for almost twenty years now. That’s a long time in the business, and it’s been an interesting career for the DJ and electronic music composer from Leeds, England. Nightmares On Wax has been everything from a studio based duo to a live full band. The one constant has been Evelyn’s desire to bring hip-hop and electronic music together to create a funky sound that everyone can groove to. This is not the divisive sounds of dubstep vs. trance or metal vs. indie. Nightmares On Wax is a harmonious fusion of hip-hop that spans two decades and recording artist with the technological tools to make it a trip-hop experience with turntables as his weapon. The longevity of Nightmares On Wax is a testament it’s music. Universal in nature while constantly changing. Evelyn is currently on your in support of the September 2013 released Feelin’ Good.
